If your swimming pool plans include the financing of all or part of the project costs, it is wise to arrange this early on.  You will benefit from the ability to shop for the best rates and avoid multiple credit checks that could affect your credit rating.  The good news is that rates are at extremely low levels and a very nice pool can be had for a surprisingly low payment.

A swimming pool loan, like any home improvement loan, is assisted by the fact that the pool increases the value of your home and the required equity ratios are easier to attain.  Typical loans have fixed interest rates and terms of ten to twenty years.
